i haven't been this excited since, well actually since solange's sister beyonce played melbourne in october! lol the main difference here is that while i bow down to queen bey and her booty shaking hits, solange for me is on a whole nother level. her music has more of a layered 'indie soul' kind of feel and her bold style and sass have cemented her as a major fashion player, who recently became the art director and creative consultant at puma. most importantly the girl has a voice and a spirit that speaks volumes above the stock standard pop princesses that litter the charts. basically, i love love love her. as you might have noticed by the hundreds of solange appearences on this blog! so tonight i get to see my girl crush in the flesh at her show in melbourne and i can. not. contain. myself.
